Mandatory housing restrictions now lifted in England.

Due to the reduction of the avian influenza risk to poultry and captive birds, housing measures in England have now been lifted. The Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) requiring mandatory biosecurity measures still remains in place across GB.

Further information is available in the press release on GOV.UK.

Keepers who fall within a Protection Zone or Captive Bird (Monitoring) Controlled Zone, are still required to house their birds. Please check the disease control zones on the avian influenza interactive map to see what restrictions are in place and the biosecurity guidance available on GOV.UK.
